Caris Jackson is a Collage Artist extraordinaire, repurposing, reimagining and reinventing the abandoned, unloved and unwanted into unique art rich in narrative and intrigue.
Inspired by kitsch and colourful nostalgia of mid-century advertising, classic stage and screen glamour, iconography and the colours of South America, the original artwork starts life as discarded prints, magazines and calendars that are lovingly cut up, reconstructed, layered and embellished to create lavish maximalist art. Caris loves to hide objects and symbolism in each image to tell a story
